Аннотация. Морские аварии вызывают огромную озабоченность во всем мире особенно из-за их воздействия на окружающую среду. Рассматриваются основные виды аварий на судне. Приводится мировая статистика потерь судов по их типам и по причинам гибели. Акцентируется внимание на технических аварийных ситуациях. Рассматривается вариант развития причинно-следственных связей, повлекших за собой аварийную ситуацию, на примере возникновения судовых пожаров.

The accident rate of sea vessels and the methodology for searching for the accident causes

Abstract. Marine accidents are of great concern around the world, especially because of their impact on the environment. The article discusses the main types of accidents on the ship. The world statistics of losses of ships by their types and causes of death are given. Attention is focused on technical emergencies. A variant of the development of cause-and-effect relationships that led to an emergency is considered, using the example of the occurrence of ship fires.
