Abstract. In the funds of the State Archive of the Rostov region there are documents, confirming the wealth of fish resources in the lower reaches of the Don according to statistical reports of fish keepers for different periods of time, the participation of Don fish products in the world Exhibition in Chicago USA in 1893.
